KTOA Annual Meeting 2014

Our annual meeting is scheduled for this Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 17619 SAN LUIS PASS, Galveston, TX 77554 at 1:30 PM at the home of Heather and Mike McClure. You will find the agenda for the meeting on the KTOA Members Only website on the Meetings tab.

In preparation for the meeting, we encourage you to review the following sources also available on the KTOA Members Only website for information relevant to this meeting:

· Governing Documents (particularly #4 on the First Amendment to the Declaration which defines maintenance responsibility of homeowners and HOA)

· History (very useful to new members)

· Newsletter 2013

The primary purpose of the annual meeting is to review the financial position of our HOA, the proposed projects for 2014, and elect the candidates for the open positions on the board.

Amongst the topics discussion there will be a presentation on the replacement (NOT repairs) of ALL decks and stairs and proposed funding. Your understanding and feedback will be critical to the Board of Directors. IMPORTANT CHANGE ON AGENDA: We will NOT be voting on a special assessment at this meeting. Instead, the Board of Directors would like to ensure that you have the information you necessary to assess the strategy and funding options for the project. We will conduct a “straw vote” (meaning polling) at this meeting.

Check your email for attachments to this announcement, including a ballot to cast your vote for two open positions to the Board of Directors. Both positions are now open due to expiration of the terms. Nominations of candidates for the Board positions may be made in advance of the meeting by responding to this email or on the floor the date of the meeting.

Although you may be intending to attend the meeting, unexpected events can happen; therefore, it is always a good idea for each of you to submit your Proxy BEFORE the meeting. The proxy will be voided if you are present at the meeting. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Our Bylaws require that all proxies be presented to Secretary PRIOR to the start of the annual meeting (Article II, Section 7). Also attached to the email find a blank Proxy form. YOU MAY FAX YOUR COMPLETED PROXY TO (713) 960-1411 no later than January 23, 2014 by 5:00 PM
