It was our intention to vote on the items listed below at our 2013 Annual Meeting that took place in January. However, since notice of the meeting was not sent to one of the owners of record (as required by Texas Law) due to unusual extenuating circumstances, we had to abstain from voting. The discussion at the annual meeting provided good feedback from the homeowners present regarding the exterior repairs and spending thresholds for 2013.

The minutes of the annual meeting (pending approval at next annual meeting) can be found on the Members Only link by visiting www.ktoa.net These minutes will aid in understanding how we arrived at the proposed amounts for funding these projects and what repairs will be initiated this year.

The Board of Directors of Karankawa Townhouse Owners Association, Inc. is hereby providing notice of a Special Meeting of the Homeowners to be held on May 4, 2013 at 1:30 PM at 17601 San Luis Pass Road, Galveston, TX 77554.

The purpose of the meeting is to vote on:

• Special assessment to fund exterior repairs and/or capital improvements
• Vote on approval of Restated and Amended By Laws to reflect processes consistent with the new laws
  • Note: you will receive a copy of the proposed draft for the Restated and Amended Bylaws prior to this meeting

Although you may be intending to attend the meeting, unexpected events can happen; therefore, it is always a good idea for each of you to submit your Proxy BEFORE the meeting.
